Barcelona Airport to Camp Nou by public transport

There are three ways to reach the stadium from El Prat without a car, and one of them has no changes. Here is how each works, what to watch for on match day and when a transfer with a driver is worth it.

  1. Pickup there
  2. At the stadium
  3. Start
  4. Final whistle
  5. Pickup back
  6. Arrival
Example: 21:00 kick-off, starting point: Barcelona El Prat Airport (BCN).

When to leave and when to book the ride back

Tell us what you are going to, when it starts and where you are leaving from. You get the pickup time for the way there and for the way back, with event-day traffic and the walk to the pickup zone. Those are the times you enter when you book.

What are you going to?

Way there: book the pickup at
19:10 · Barcelona El Prat Airport (BCN) → Camp Nou
Way back: book the pickup at
23:20 · Camp Nou → Barcelona El Prat Airport (BCN)

If you fly out that night, do not book a flight leaving before 01:55: you need time for security.

A cautious estimate: arrive 75 minutes before the start (gates open 1 h 30 before) and the ride back timed to leave the stands and walk out of the closed perimeter. If the event time changes, we move the booking with you at no cost.

Three options

Metro, train or airport bus

No changes

Metro L9 Sud

From the T1 or T2 station to Collblanc or Zona Universitària, both a short walk from the stadium. The airport stations need a specific airport ticket: standard single tickets are not valid there. Check the fare and timetable on the TMB website.

One change

Train R2 Nord + metro

The commuter train leaves from T2 (a free shuttle bus links it with T1) and stops at Sants. From Sants, metro L5 to Badal or Collblanc, or L3 towards Palau Reial.

One change

Airport bus + metro

The airport express bus stops at Plaça d’Espanya on its way to the centre. From Espanya, metro L3 to Les Corts or Palau Reial.

Match day

What changes on match day

The trains towards the stadium fill up in the last hour before kick-off and, after the match, the stations near the stadium are crowded for a long time. Above all, the stadium does not let suitcases or large bags in and has no cloakroom: if you are coming straight from the airport, stop at your hotel first. See Camp Nou with luggage.

The other option

When a transfer is worth it

For one person with hand luggage and time to spare, the metro is a fair option. A private transfer pays off when you are several people, travel with suitcases or children, land close to kick-off or want the hotel stop and the return sorted. Your driver tracks your flight, meets you in arrivals with a name sign and has 60 minutes of free waiting from the actual landing time. See Barcelona Airport to Camp Nou.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a direct metro from the airport to Camp Nou?

Yes. Line L9 Sud goes from T1 and T2 to Collblanc and Zona Universitària without changes, both a short walk from the stadium.

Can I use a normal metro ticket from the airport?

No. The airport stations of L9 Sud need a specific airport ticket. Check the current fare and the cards that include it on the TMB website.

Can I go straight from the plane to the match with my suitcase?

Not into the stadium: suitcases and large bags are not allowed and there is no cloakroom. Leave them at the hotel or in a luggage storage service first.

How long does the driver wait if my flight is late?

We track your flight. You have 60 minutes of free waiting from the actual landing time.

Access, road closures and calendar reviewed on 27 October 2026. The stadium is still under works and the logistics may change during the season.
